Design and Frontend Engineer

Job description

We are a global $145 mil Series D SaaS organization who is growing exponentially and is looking for our first Design and Frontend Engineer to join our global high-caliber Sales team in Germany. As a Design and Frontend Engineer you will work closely with the Solutions Engineering team, as well as our Product and Design teams to make sure the sales team can build cutting-edge demo environments.

What you’ll be up to:
- As part of the Solutions Engineering team you’ll work closely with all Solutions Engineers to make sure they know what a great product design looks like.
- You work closely with our Product and Design teams to understand what new features we have and how to make them shine in sales demos.
- You constantly update and improve the demo toolkit (apps, tooling, slides) and push the boundaries of what our customers will consider to be a world class interface and experience
- You increase overall sales success by improving demos across the board - directly (giving specific feedback) and indirectly (continuously enabling and challenging Solutions Engineers).
- You will work with our sales teams across all of our geographies. This is a global role.

What you’ll come with:
- English proficiency
- German proficiency is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in the UX/UI Design field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in UX/UI Design, preferably at an agency or in a start-up/scale-up environment
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS, and frontend development in general
- Proficiency in modern tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator
- Experience in building simple web apps
- Passion for UX/UI Design, web and graphic design
- Attention to detail as well as a strong sense of aesthetics and the individual (visual) challenges of web and mobile apps
- Understanding of design systems and their limitations and possibilities
- Understanding of technical concepts and corporate design guidelines and the ability to effectively communicate them to non-technical people
- You care (a lot) about Accessibility and Usability
- You enjoy talking and consulting with potential clients and understanding their needs
- Strong execution skills: you are able to work efficiently and perform challenging design tasks quickly and effectively
