Associate Workday Specialist

Job description

We would like to extend the Accounting & Controlling team within our Finance organization where we are building up a small Workday team and we are looking for someone who can take ownership in rolling out new functionalities and also improving the existing processes in our ERP system.

As a digital first company, we offer greater flexibility in working locations. You would be able to work fully remote in country Staffbase operates in (US, UK, Canada, Germany, Netherlands) or in a hybrid model from one of our office locations in these countries.

The role requires you to move quickly, not be constrained by how things “used to be” and most importantly that you are ambitious, curious, and passionate about tech, specifically about the technical landscape our team works in.

Your tasks include but are not limited to:
- You are one of the contact persons for technical Workday Finance questions and issues, working with HR, FP&A, and IT on system topics
- You coordinate external stakeholders (implementation partners, freelancers) and potentially also smaller projects
- You bring in your experience, ideas, and support regarding the development, optimization and documentation of internal processes and policies
- You facilitate the development of solutions which are sustainable in the current organization structures and tools.
- You help configuring required changes within Workday including full end-to-end testing
- You understand all aspects of Workday to identify downstream impacts on recommended solutions.
- You ensure data integrity and user adoption

Your profile:
- Good understanding of accounting/finance processes
- Ideally first experience with Workday Finance or similar ERP Systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP // Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance //SAP S/4HANA)
- Fluent in English (German is a big plus)
- Tech-savvy
- Problem-solving skills
- Solution oriented
- Able to prioritize and organize increasingly complex work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards
- Experience implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines is a plus
- Ideally proven experience working creatively and analytically in a dynamic environment
